Birdwatching in Piura
The number of adventurous tourists who come to Peru enjoy the biodiversity, customs and landscapes is increasing.
Enrique Angulo Pratolongo, journalist of Info ecology says to us that the observers of birds or birdwatchers are a limited group of persons who observe birds and organize accustomed trips exclusively for such a purpose. These excursions can be dedicated to the solitary endemic and rarest specimen of seeing in a geographical limited area, or to the different and numerous birds that populate a certain ecosystem. This way of doing tourism is receiving an important summit in Peru.
Peru offers a diversity of landscapes and extraordinary possibilities for this activity, not only for the great quantity of birds that it possesses, but also for its high quota of endemism, that is to say for the great number of species that they find exclusively in some habitats inside the Peruvian territory. Both particularities make it very attractive also for the scientists and researchers.
Piura possesses a surprising ornithological diversity. That is the bird watching. See Bird watching Route
